Overview

FTI is seeking the right person to join our corporate team that would be a senior in the field of  Linux Systems Administration as well as managing our internal IT team located in Dayton, OH.  In this role you will be responsible for the design, implementation and support of FTI's Development Platforms.  This is a unique opportunity where you will manage a wide array of data center servers and hardware, software, and both on-prem and cloud hosted environments as well as mentoring and leading intenal IT Team.

 

This role will report to the VP of IT.   You will work closely together to streamline processes, establish IT strategy, tech selection, deployment, policy, end-user support solutions & more. You will also partner with our operations developers, scientists, and programmers to provide platforms and solutions for FTI’s technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the design, implementation and support of the organization's technology infrastructure. Desired candidate would serve primarily as a senior technical expert in Linux technologies with a history of infrastructure automation and be able to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Lead a team of diverse IT administrators, network analysts, and architects to ensure that IT delivery and support is second to none
  • Lead all aspects of the IT service management system
  • Guide the team toward consistency of service and meet requirements across a portfolio of technology projects and enhancements
  • Establish and maintain strong internal customer relationships, enabling the collaborative creation of roadmaps for execution, and maintenance of solution capability
  • Establish and lead the IT team in the understanding FTI’s products and tools, and position the company to drive innovation that empowers our employees to create, enhance or upgrade our products now and in the future
  • Establish and build upon processes allowing for business prioritization, expectation setting, and predictable execution against committed priorities
  • Help define team and individual project goals, so they are clearly defined and measurable and oversee individual projects to completion
  • Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems
  • Strong technical knowledge of network hardware, protocols, and standards and operating systems
  • Oversee daily IT operations with Active Directory, O365, SharePoint, MS Teams and Exchange
  • Oversee daily IT operations with VMWare environment with on-prem SAN and servers
  • Oversee daily IT operations with UTM, HP switches, and vLAN segmentation

Education/Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT related field from accredited college is required
     

Special Requirements

  • Must have or be able to obtain Secret security clearance

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the design, delivery, updating, administration, and/or operation of enterprise IT systems, networks, and environments
  • Minimum of 8 years of RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) administration and networking experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience leading a diverse IT Team
  • Strong experience in several of the following is required: Linux, Splunk, AWS Cloud, VMWare, Fortinet Fortigate, Azure Cloud, Microsoft SharePoint, Aruba switches
  • Strong technical knowledge of and experience with installing, upgrading, configuring, and deploying IT applications in an on-prem and cloud hosted hybrid environment
  • Experience in MS Windows Servers, Active Directory, Group Policy, SharePoint and Exchange
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with the practices and methods of IT strategy, enterprise architecture and cybersecurity architectures
  • Strong knowledge of third-party auditing and cloud risk assessment methodologies
  • Strong experience with designing and implementing High Availability (HA) hardware and software configurations
  • Strong leadership skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products and to present ideas
  • Experience working with file systems that are hosted in a SAN environment
  • Windows Server administration and associated operating system technologies
  • Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development
  • Must be highly self-motivated and a highly efficient multi-tasker
  • Experience with DoD Government Cyber Security Risk Management principles, standards, and compliance a plus
